Swarming
The air and swarm-coordination lineage behind Volant’s flight primitives. Named here as a studio-family venture so the research home is visible — without treating this website as a spec sheet.
What it is
Swarming is HOPn UG’s research programme for software-defined coordination of uncrewed air systems, grounded in SWARMind. Public language stays at the level of intent, geofence, formation as an operator concept, and European research context. It is not a claim of a certified drone OS, not a procurement catalogue, and not a list of contested-environment performance figures.
How it relates to Volant
Volant is the operator layer: describe, simulate, approve, deploy, and adapt within approved limits — on ground robots and on airframes. Swarming is the research lineage for air-side coordination. Volant may compile approved air tasks toward PX4 / MAVLink-class stacks; Swarming remains the programme name for that lineage. They sit under the same studio. They are not interchangeable products.
What this page will not do
No payload envelopes, no electronic-warfare language, no named live programmes, and no proliferation-sensitive capability claims. Dual-use interest is acknowledged at the same high level as Volant’s noindex defense note: European research and operator coordination, pending legal review of any deeper public language.
